About me...
I grew up in Kenya at a school where my parents worked. Ever since I saw a Japanese master center a ball of clay on “Reading Rainbow” I’ve wanted to make pottery. In high school I was able to begin that dream under the gentle guidance of my art teacher, Mr. Rothfus. I spent many hours in the ceramics studio as an art studio major at Hope College, and after graduating in the summer of 2014 I started renting studio space at Pottworks. I delight in detailed etching and pieces that feel good to hold. Much of my inspiration comes from nature, especially from the scenes around my house.
